Welcome to the Google Sheets Tips newsletter #375, your Monday morning espresso, in spreadsheet form! We're still in an ice box on the east coast of the US with the snow set to hang around for a while yet. It's beautiful but I am looking forward to the ice melting so it's easier to get around. Today's newsletter is not directly related to Google Sheets. Instead, I'm sharing the sources I use to stay informed of AI developments. There are so many announcements (and so much noise!) in the AI space that it can feel overwhelming. Hopefully, these sources will help you stay informed too. Which leads me to two questions for you today:
Just hit reply if you want to share your thoughts! :) ➜ NewsI. ➜ Sheets Tip #375: How to stay informed about AI in 2026The field of AI moves so quickly that it can easily feel overwhelming. Here are the sources that I use to stay informed of AI developments in 2026:
The Neuron is my go-to source for AI news. It’s written by humans for humans, in a fun and informal way. Every weekday, they share the latest news and developments in the AI universe. Plus, they include tips for better prompts when using the AI tools.
Superhuman is another daily newsletter that brings the latest AI news and tips direct to my inbox. I like to read it alongside The Neuron to get an alternative perspective and a sense of what the key developments are.
Ethan Mollick is a Professor at Wharton University and his newsletter provides research-based views on the implications of AI and how it will affect us.
The previous 3 newsletters are generally bullish on AI and its impact and timelines. I balance that out by reading this newsletter from Gary Marcus — an AI entrepreneur and author — who is much more pessimistic in his outlook. In addition to these newsletters, I also follow the news blogs of the big three AI firms: And, of course, I also keep a close eye on the Google Workspace blog, where many of the announcements now relate to AI: (I share any relevant updates from this Workspace blog here in this newsletter!) What about you? How do you keep on top of the AI landscape? If you enjoyed this newsletter, please forward it to a friend who might enjoy it. Have a great week! Cheers, P.S. 16 years of refusing to learn excel shortcuts are finally about to pay off |

Hi Reader, Welcome to the Google Sheets Tips newsletter #383, your Monday morning espresso, in spreadsheet form! NASA's Artemis II mission blasted off towards the moon last week. I watched the launch live with my son (on YouTube, not in person, haha). The launch was exhilarating; I was holding my breath for the 10-second countdown! I'm excited to follow along with the remainder of the mission and see close-up images of the moon. In fact, as I press send on this email, they are scheduled to...
Hi Reader, Welcome to the Google Sheets Tips newsletter #382, your Monday morning espresso, in spreadsheet form! If you feel like the AI wave is moving faster than you can keep up with, you aren't alone. The gap between "playing with a chatbot" and "building reliable AI systems" feels wider than ever, and that feeling is only increasing with every new AI announcement. For the past couple of months, I’ve been working on a new course to help address this challenge. Next Monday, I’m opening...
Hi Reader, Welcome to the Google Sheets Tips newsletter #381, your Monday morning espresso, in spreadsheet form! Since last week, the weather in the Mid-Atlantic region has been even more volatile than that mission critical spreadsheet your non-technical boss "fixed" recently. We had a day over 80F, followed by a wild 50F drop to temps in the 30's and snow squalls. And later today, we're forecast to have a severe thunderstorm and possible tornadoes. It's threatening enough that schools in...
